Redmi Note 14 Pro+ Review
Redmi Note 14 Pro+ has made a bang entry in India’s mid-range smartphone market before 2025. Along with better performance and great camera, this time the emphasis has also been placed on design and battery life. However, its price has now crossed ₹ 30,000.
But the question is, will it be right to spend so much for a Redmi Note phone? I used this phone for a few weeks and am presenting its full experience to you.
Design
The design of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ looks premium at first glance. However, its metallic finish is slightly less impressive than the vegan leather finish of the Note 14 Pro.
The curved display of the phone makes it even more attractive. It is light and thin, making it very comfortable to hold. It is easy to use in landscape and portrait mode.
Talking about the button layout, the power and volume buttons are given on the right side. If you are accustomed to the traditional layout, it will take some time to adopt it.
Display
The display of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is one of its highlights. The color reproduction in the 1.5K OLED panel is excellent. With a 120Hz refresh rate, it looks very smooth.
The display performs well in both dark and bright lighting conditions. The in-display fingerprint scanner is fast, but its location is a bit low, which may take some people time to adjust.
Camera
The phone has a 200MP primary camera, which supports OIS (optical image stabilization). It is quite impressive for low-light photography.
- Primary camera: 200MP (OIS)
- Ultra-wide camera: 8MP
- Macro camera: 2MP
- Front camera: 16MP
The performance of portrait and night modes is very good. With AI features, options like background blur and skin tone correction are also available.
Performance
The performance of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is excellent. Geekbench scores:
- Single-core: 1,157
- Multi-core: 3,069
- GPU: 3,272
The phone performs well in multi-tasking and gaming. Games like BGMI and GTA San Andreas run perfectly, although the phone can get a little hot in heavy games. The AI features are also fun, such as photo editing and notes summary.
Software
The phone has HyperOS (Android 14), which gives a lot of customization options. This includes AI tools:
- Photo editing – removing objects and editing backgrounds.
- Text summary – converting large text into small points.
- Translation – live text and audio translation.
However, it has pre-installed apps (bloatware), which can be removed. If you like clean software, this may be a bit disappointing.
Battery
The battery of Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is 6,200mAh, which lasts comfortably for 2 days. A 90W fast charger is also provided, which charges the battery quickly:
- 5 minutes – 14%
- 10 minutes – 27%
- 15 minutes – 38%
- 20 minutes – 48%
- 30 minutes – 68%
- 50 minutes – 100%
Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Stylish Design: Premium and modern look.
- Rugged Build: Durable and sturdy.
- Reliable Cameras: 200MP main camera and good photo quality.
- Solid Battery Backup: 6,200mAh battery with 90W fast charging.
Cons:
- Pre-installed Apps: Too many bloatware apps.
- Benchmark Scores: Don’t match competitors.
Verdicts
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is an all-rounder smartphone in terms of design, display, performance and battery. The camera and AI features make it even more special. However, if you like clean software, you may have to adjust a bit. At a price of ₹30,000, this phone gives a premium experience according to its features.
